Yesterday evening was an evening with some of the best motoring entertainment. I joined a Colleague and his wife to go to Humbley speedway track to watch some racing. I wasnt sure what exactly it was because my colleague said that it is hard to describe and it is something you have to experience(and yet im trying to write a post about it).
When we got there I heard some high pitched engines and it didnt sound like they were something that were driving on dirt. We then got in and the first machine I saw was the a funny looking car wich is best described as a fly with four wheels and a slight displaced cockpit. They were powered by motorbike engines and that explains the high pitched engine sound.
Next up was the production car class. And by production they ment: out of production, i think that the newest car in the field was a mitsubishi FTO. And the only thing left from the production car was the body. Everything else was stripped away in order to avoid glass and plastic getting into the drivers faces when crashing. They were good entertainment but nothing to what was still to come.
In rolled some cars which looked like they have just dropped out of a Godfahter movie, got fuel with ethanol and got a rollcage in them. I was getting high hope, which got shattered in a split secound when my colleague turns to me and says: "This class is boring as hell, its 12 - 16 year old kids driving". The race started and they went round and round and nothing dramatic happend. So my colleague was right....
After a while it became clear that they have a good photocopier in the back because in rolled cars looking exactly like the cars the kids drove just scaled up to 150% in size and sound.
They did some showoff and in the end all but 10 cars disapeared. 2 cars from two teams were to battle each other. Yes it is battle not race. They putted 1 car in the middle of the track to preserve them and drove with 4 each.
They line up in the grid bumper to bumper and when the green flag goes on they are off, or some of them are cause some just stands still waiting for the leader to come around and then take him for a closer look at the concrete wall sorounding the track.
The trick is then to see if it is possible to have all your cars in the top in order to score the most points in order to advance to the finals. But you also have to protect your leading car otherwise the other team will just crash him till his car dies. Another thing is to crash your own car into another car only damaging the other car and not your own. It proved to create some spectacular crashes, cars flipping, catching fire and some oldskool head on collisions.
Great entertainment
Pictures to come a bit later.

Mans day home!
FIRST OF ALL: I WON IN LOTTO YESTERDAY EVENING!!!!!! but only a new coupon....
What a nice day, slept long and when i woke up I started searching google for clips on the Lamborghini LP-640, Koenigsegg CCXR Edition and some top gear clips with Simon Cowell, Lionel Richie and other guests.
After that the clock had almost hit 12:00 and I had to get out of bed in order to get the start of the V8 Bathurst race in Australia.
I made some nice Bacon, egg and sausages for myslef and added in a glass of L&P. Enjoyed my meal and decided the best way to watch the race was from the couch with a few extra pillows, so i recruited the pillows from the chairs in the living room and they got hired on the spot. Then after a few mintues of racing the worst happend, COMMERCIAL, come on they are doing 300km/h how can you think we got time for a 5 minute commercial spot ?!?!?! thats one lap!!!!
I had to bring out my innovative skills again and I went to my room to get my laptop so I could read some forums and articles in the commercial breaks. With the combination of extra pillows and my laptop for the commercials i was set and ready to go.
About the race: too much safety car, there just were too much fuss it came in with no reasons, with that said there was some good crashes and exciting duels all the way to the end! on the 2nd last lap the guy who ran 2nd ended up finding himself on 7th. so they really pushed it in the end.
The day is about to end, I had my first go on making Spaghetti Carbonara and i have to say that IM GOOD :D
Right now Im watching Wipeout which is a program similar to Tekashis Castle so its quite good entertainment :)
Thats all for tonight, Good night!

Nothing better to do, until its time to get dressed for dinner!
What a nice a quiet Saturday, I have only but also just only made my self worthy of the title "alive". I woke up late and decided the best way to wake up was to watch Harry potter on which movie serie i started yesterday. After that i went for some Lunch/breakfast. Went back to my room to read some articles online and update my profiles on xing, linkedin and facebook.
Then it was time to get into the living room and watch the qualifying for Bathurst 1000, V8 race. It was surpricingly nice. I remembered the track, have driven it in Grand Turismo or something and that just makes it more fun because you know where the cars are when the camera switch. The worst is really the damn commercials I pray for they will not ruin the race tomorrow. I know its an 8hr race so a few commercials is ok but every 15 minutes :O not sure if I will survive then its just too much.
I found that commentry down here is just as reliable as in Denmark and Germany, I dont know what they are doing but not seing a UTE V8 crashing and keep talking about history, i mean COME ON HE FLIPPED 6 TIMES ! and later I saw the crash in the news so I guess it was only the commentators who just felt like noke keeping an eye on the track for a while.
But overall im excited for the race tomorrow, just bought some L&P today so going to try that for the first time ever, and i got myself a bit candy, so im ready to go!
