Living in 38,000 feet
For a starter my parents and me went to the airport after a whole weekend of cleaning to get some dinner before i went through the last security check, but almost everything was closed and it was hard to find any good places where we could eat. We went downstairs in terminal 1 and found a place where they served Bavarian food, Sushi and steaks. The food were good and there were plenty of it.
We went back up and I slipped through the last security waving good bye to my parents. The time before boarding the first plane from Munich to Dubai felt long, just wanted to get in my seat and take off to get a good nights sleep and begin the journey which was on the ticket very long.
Before i could get in my sear there was a wait for 3 passengers who didn't show up even after 20 minutes of calling their names + business and first class had favor over monkey class which i were to fly.
I got onto the plane and got my seat at a window in the back end of the plane which was okay, the first 15 minutes i struggled to get a support leaver in the back to fit my body size, Isucceeded and shortly after my "wingman" were beside me.
We started rolling and all of a sudden a lady offered me a white piece of linen and i was wondering what it was, but taken in consideration that I was in monkey class I accepted (it could be the only thing I'll have on the flight). It turned out to be a warm cleaning towel which i didn't know what to do with because we haven't seen the shadow of food yet.
We got in the air and I watched X-men Origins: Wolverine while eating and afterwards I just putted some music in my ears and fell asleep.
We landed in Dubai at 06:00 local time with the weather update saying it was 35 degrees celcious outside.
Inside the airport you got the feeling that the living in Dubai is a lottery. There was this "Duty free shop" which had a shop in the airport but also lots of stands where you could buy 200 coupons for 500 Dhs (Lokal money), I will post some pictures of what you could win and they include 1,000,000$ USD and also Lamborghini, Bentley and other luxury vehicles.
The airport itself is also amazing, the way it it looks both on the inside and the outside is just something you'll only find in Dubai.
I do not know if its me who have only been in europe but I found that hot water in the toilets were a bit too much. I mean, it isn't like its a party going to the toilet, and the feel of warm air coming upwards is just wrong. But with that said I think there is a Arabian Aero specialist in the restrooms in Dubai International Airport testing a new space-thruster or something like that.
I went about in Dubai until it was time to see the highlight of the Journey, the Airbus A380-800 and what a plane, even the seats in Economy were excellent, and that makes you wonder about how its like on First and Business class because the got to sit in silk to top it. I had a very good flight having the three seats next to me free and even though a Australian girl took the seat furthest away from me we still had the middle to place our legs and have a nice sleep.
The only two bad things I can say about the trip was shortly before landing in sidney alle the Australians began to use their parfumes in order to smell good when they land, and that isn't a dream coming true for us who have to fly on to New Zealand in the same plane. But we were lucky we also had to get off the plane and then it got cleaned in a hour before we went back on it.
Other than that, there were the announcements which always started in arab before going to english and I'm still convinced that the arabs got one or two more informations than us who didn't understand them.
After I have been traveling since Monday 22:35 GTM +1 and to Wednesday 12:00 GTM +12 I've met lots of people in the plane which you just do not meet on the bus or train, they are in some way more open minded and easier to talk to, maybe its because their ticket costs 1,000 euros and not 5, and maybe because they knew they were going to sit beside me for the next 20 hours straight.
The best bit of flying were the sunsets and sun rises from almost 11 km hight that is something different, you can see the curvature of the earth and the dark night turning into day or the other way around.
Ps. I've found a place to upload pictures I just need a computer where I can install google software. So be patient, got lots of pictures :)

Its a VERY VERY poisionous Sidney
Just a quick update from "down under".
The flight went well, both of them, eventhough the girl next to me said the trip from Dubai to Sidney were a bit bumpy, did i have a nice experience flying with the airbus A380. What a maschine, its amazing how it gets into the air with only 200 Mph when i know how hard it can be for me to get out of bed in the morning ;)
Kinda tired, cant think of anything to write so i think i will end it here and do a whole lot longer version one of the following days.
Its now 6:54 Local Aussie time and im scheduled to get on the plane in 6 minutes so will go to the counter and see if im the lucky winner of a business class seat.
Grammar and spelling mistakes are all (C) Emirates Airlines :)

Kick-Off: Aufwiedersehen <-> Kira Ora!
Now it cant wait any longer.
Would have been writing this kickoff on Friday because it was my last day in the office in Munich, Germany - but the day didn't go 100% as planned actually it were 200% better than i could imagine. Had a great farewell in the department with some great presents, at least i know that my new pen and moleskin book will be handy in the flight the next 3 days.
So with that said i just want to thanks my colleagues in Munich for a great year with some great experiences and learning's.
Well, last day in Munich and Europe for that matter in 12 months, kinda weird, today the world will get even smaller for me, I don't think i can get any further away, next step would be to cut me off electricity or water. But that's just a part of this great challenge, and I will come out on the other side stronger and more individual than ever before, so I'm looking forward to meet new people on the other side of the world, no matter if their water when they flush the toilet is running left round instead of the European right round. Just need to do some more dirty work in the apartment here in Munich, maybe i should call Discovery channel, they would have cleaned the all AND made a TV show about it. But then again think my mother finds more details to be cleaned than a whole TV crew(and yes I can write it because she will first be able to read this when I'm on the plane ;)).
Yesterday we took a half day off and went to Dachau to see the concentrationcamp, have been living in Munich for 12 months now and haven't seen it, so it was about time, and what an experience, the place is unfortunately enormous but in the same mystic way very fascinating(not that I'm a fan).
Well, my plane is leaving Munich 22:35 with its nose pointed in direction of Dubai where I will be staying for 3 hours approx. before my Airbus A-380 is ready to take me all the way to Auckland, New Zealand with only a short stop in Sidney where we are scheduled to unload some Crocodile-hunter-trainees.
I will get back in Dubai if its possible to get online.
Think i will end it here have to get back to cleaning the apartment :( and with that said I think I've found yet another of my weaknesses, it just isn't funny.
So stay tuned, hope i will be able to get online as soon as possible to write and post some pictures.
Aufwiedersehen!
Ps. I've been searching the web to find a place where i can make a online gallery so i can share my pictures with you through this blog and also with external links, if anyone knows about a site please write it to me in comments under this post.
