FIRST POST !!! - Barcelon vs. Lloret de Mar

Now I finally found a media which is easy to use, easy to maintain and easy to follow for interested people.

And I will herby welcome my Family, friends and Colleagues worldwide and encourage you to read my blog, use the RSS feed application to make it easier for yourselves to keep updated on what’s going on in my surroundings and lots more.

This blog is going to be in English due to the fact that the readers will both be Danish as well as German.
Well as I’ve just been 7 days in Barcelona and Costa Brave will I start this blog by telling about the trip I had with a good friend of mine Frederik.

Everything was set we have found two flights which landed at the same time in Barcelona Airport, the only thing which worried us were that we had planned to go to Barcelona and then find a hotel for the first few days in the city, but just a day before take-off from Munich (I) and Copenhagen (Frederik) we discovered that the Tour de France would come to town as goal and starting city, so we got a bit worried if it was possible to find a hotel. We took our chances and flew.

Showering Barcelona:
We met each other at the baggage claim and went out to find a taxi to take us to Barcelona centre. We got one and got placed in the back of the car and the driver then asked us for a hotel name. We then TRIED to explain to him that we didn’t have one and just wanted to be driven to city centre but that should prove to be harder than you may think. We finally got him “locked” on target and we drove, and what a wheather there were at least 3 – 5 centimeters of water just on the highway. The taxi fought its way through and we landed on “Placa de Catalunya”. We walked 500 meters down the “Rambla dels Estudis” and found a nice looking hotel. We checked in and went to our room to find two beds, a flat screen and a minibar. After a bit of unpacking we went for launch and the weather was terrible, to our luck had the street salesmen changed their Gucci collections with umbrellas. So after a burger at McD we bought 2 (and no we did NOT pay full price) in order to go around and do some shopping. But the umbrellas was as good quality as the Gucci sunglasses they normally sell so after 10 minutes drops of water started to come through. We therefore went to our hotel to watch some tour de France while waiting for the shower to end.
It finally ended and we enjoyed the “Rambla dels Estudis” and found some small 2-person-side-by-side scooters which were for rent so we took a taxi to find the place, we ended the day by making a reservation on a scooter and a gin and tonic by the water.

“Lumre-Lone” on tour:
We took back to the scooter rental from the first day and got our scooter from some Bob Marley wananbe. We then set straight for Camp Nou which unfortunately were very disappointing. Afterwards we went cruising the city with loud house music and laughter.
Pictures and films will be added to increase understanding.

Lloret WHAT?:
In the early morning hours we hired a taxi to the bus station which later should prove to be one of the biggest detours in a taxi in whole of Barcelonas history.
The bus were after Spanish aggression and no German precision 45 minutes late but we kept our heads high.
After a hour bus fare we arrived at the bus station in Lloret de Mar. We went after our Hotel and the first one we tried to check in to was the wrong one, so we got redirected across the main street to find our hotel. After we had checked in we got ourselves a surprise what a nasty place, so we went down and after 30 minutes of phonetrolling to hotels.com we got our money back.
We then went on the hunt to find a hotel which should prove to be harder than expected. Every place we went in we came out with nothing then finally we found a place where we could sleep one night, but we thought to ourselves that we could do better than that. And after some more running around we found a place where we could get a room but first from the next day, so we made a reservation and went back to the one-night-room-offer we found earlier.
In the evening it the menu was Pubcrawl.

Old men just eats slower:
We got out of bed and let our loggage stay at the new hotel and went to the sea to find a nice quite place to get some lunch. We found a lovely place with ok food and a good looking service. We ate and small talked for about 2 hours before we want back to the hotel to check in and watch the ending of Tour de France and get some rest from the summery weather.
